Overstay in Bandung, Indonesia.
Recently I managed to visit the third largest city in Indonesia. Bandung. It is one of the most popular tourist destination for Malaysians. The cool weather is just like Cameron highlands in Malaysia. Just like Cameron Highlands the area surrounding it, is a tea plantations.
About 30 km north of Bandung located Tangkuban Perahu a volcanic crater. You are nuts for not visiting Tangkuban Perahu. A very good view for hot springs and boiling mud.
Tangkuban Perahu in Sundanese dialect which means upturned boat. You can see the shape of boat hull of the mountain terrain. It is associated with the very famous folks tales about the existence of Tangkuban Perahu. A love story between a perpetual youth of beautiful fairy maiden and a young warrior. The epic legend of Sangkuriang.
I really enjoyed the traditional Sundanese cuisine here. I loved the simple 'nasi timbel' of course there are other rice course such as ' nasi uduk', 'nasi bakar', and 'nasi bogana'
You can have a herbal drinks here notably the cinnamon extract which is believed could lower the cholesterol and sugar content in the blood besides its antioxidant properties.
Lodging in Bandung you can choose from six stars hotel to less than RM100 per pax per night cottage. Whatever it is I chose the Darul Jannah Cottage, It is not far from the airport and town center,
Since Malaysian and Indonesian are of the same roots in term of cultural anthropology so their dishes are very palatable to me.
Hello ladies is price that matters????????? Well it is once in a blue moon. Bandung is one of Malaysian ladies shopping destination. Next destination Vietnam????China???????
