My second son special day.

My second son wedding reception was held on the 7th May 2016 at Dewan Merdeka Hall in Tapah . Perak, Malaysia.

The lovely wedding cake was hand made by my daughter in law and her husband i.e my eldest son.

Out door photo shoot.

The location of this photo shoot was around the compound of local railway services which is at the vicinity of my house.

Mind you the rail is not operative.  It is only a display at the the railway station.

This Railway Station was opened in 1893.  One of the oldest Railway Station in Malaysia.   Kuala Lumpur railway station was opened in 1886.

However due to contemporary interest and public demand the Station was upgrade to double track rail and the introduction of new high-speed Electric Train Services in 2007.

Introducing Agro-Technology  Park MARDI Cameron Highlands.

Agro-Technology Park MARDI  is an agriculture research station opened in 1926 open daily except on Monday with admission fee for adult is RM 5.00 and child is RM 3.00 per pax.  You can explore the horticulture garden namely Orchid Garden, Rose Garden, Herb Garden and English Garden.

This 42-hectare park is a beautiful backgrounds for capturing unforgettable moment of the special day.

The floral embedded archway is fabulous for capturing the beautiful  memories.

Flower of multiple colors are abundance for the backdrop.

You can spend your honey moon here in the small hotel in the form of an English Cottage or the MARDI  Cameron Apartment.  

Another marvelous site for photo shoot is the Sitting Porch or Terrace Garden found in this beautiful park.  These pictures were taken on the 17th of May, 2016, in the search for my son out door wedding photo shoot locations.

RETREAT AT LANGKAWI FROM EL NINO FLASH.

Langkawi Island offer natural sanctuary from El Nino phenomena.

Last week I took my family to Langkawi just to get away from the scorching heat in my home town Tapah, Perak Malaysia.  Langkawi is an island north of Peninsular Malaysia.  A very well known tourist island.  Two years ago I paid RM600 for a hired car in Langkawi.  It's very unfair amount.  Recently the government allowed car to be ferried to the island and the car rental now drops to about RM200!!!!!

El Nino phenomena caused a very warm temperature.   The Malaysian Ministry of Education will close all the school if the temperature reached 37 centigrade for three consecutive days.  Health hazard will be the heat stroke.  

I booked a wooden chalet in the tropical rain forest.  Surrounded by heavy flora and ornamental trees.

Chalet at the sea side is not conducive to me because of the warm temperature of the sea.

In Langkawi to beat the hot weather you can easily dashed into the swimming pool.

The fresh water lagoon in Tasik Dayang Bunting is another good choice to refresh your body.

Early morning or late evening will best for sea retreat.

Sun bathing is up to you.  You dare to sun bathing during el nino?????????? But to some people it's nothing lets have fun in the sun.

Why not just take a stroll along the beautiful seaside and the lovely man made forests in Langkawi.

During this El Nino period even at the top of mount Mat Chinchang is still warm.  But for the sake of experiencing the cable car just take the Langkawi Skycab and enjoy the breathtaking ride.

Genting Highlands is the only Hill Resort with a gambling licence in Malaysia.

Genting Highlands is resort city on a mountain top.  It is located 55km from Kuala Lumpur.  You still can enjoy the windy and foggy weather here and other amusement let alone the gambling house.  Notably the current al nino phenomena.

The cool climate, with foggy winds blowing through is very alluring.  It's 1800 m elevation is good for aura cleansing.

There are other attractions beside the casinos.

The theme parks are just fabulous.

Other enticement are haunted house, man made winter room and museum.

 The chilly misty weather is very conducive for golf enthusiasts.

The lovely green.

Food is marvelous let it be western or local.  Lodging is according to your budget. 

Where to stay in Cameron Highlands.

Cameron Highlands is one of the popular hill top resort in Malaysia.  It is the home of cool mountain air and the lull valleys.  The main tourist attraction here are the vast tea plantations, strawberry farms, fresh tropical vegetables farms, nights market, bee farm and a diverse array of flora nurseries.

Lodging in Cameron Highlands is depending on your modest budget.

You can choose four or five star hotels.

Or you can opt for hill top apartment.

It is your choice to stay in the town area or in outskirt.

The cheapest rate per night in Cameron Higlands is RM25 /pax /night. or the ceiling price is around RM250/pax.

My choice is homestay.

You can try MELATI Homestay it is in the Malay community in  vicinity of strawberry plantations and vegetables farms and strawberry  jam factory.

An Enticement of French Village in Malaysia.

Colmar Tropicale.

Located about 120 km from Kuala Lumpur  International Airport.  It is about 20 minute drive from Bentong,Pahang.  Surrounded by the Rainforest and at about 700m above sea level there is a replica of a French village in around 16th century.

Ample parking space under the medieval French building.

The lull cool temperature is so enchanting with the collection of French buildings.

Mesmerizing the scenery with my grandson.

The buildings are colorful and the ground is cobblestone.

A family photo  in front of the stage where live bands and live performances entertain the visitors in the  night.

Colmar Tropicale at Bukit Tinggi, Pahang is a worthwhile family vacation where you can have French food or Italian Menu or Japanese cuisine.  There are 17 theme shops offering souvenirs.  Tantalized yourself with the drawbridge,, ancient castles and  lakes,  Do not missed the viewing tower. 

Oldest Mosque in China

My Visit to Huaisheng Mosque in Guangzhou, China.

Last year in November 2015 I visited the the oldest mosque in China.  The famous Huaisheng Mosque in Guangzhou Southern province of China.  There are about 39,000 mosque all over China. According to Chinese Muslim Manuscript this mosque was built in 627 which is about 1300 years ago by the companion Prophet Muhammad  s.a.w Sa'd Ibn Waqass.

The entrance to Huaisheng Mosque which near to theXimenkou Station of Guangzhou Metro. It looks like a Chinese Temple.  Many mosque in China have a local architecture vis-a-vis Pagoda.

There are three walled courtyard before reaching the mosque main building.

The first archways.  It all written in Chines characters.

The Chinese Muslim or Hui Hui Chinese were the close ally to the Ming Dynasty during rebellion against the Manchus aggression.

The Huaisheng Mosque means The lighthouse Mosque.  This was by the virtue of the mosque minaret which is about 36 meter tall.  In the old days the minaret served as a beacon for ships and boats.

This is the main entrance to the mosque.

This is the inside view of the oldest mosque in China.  However the present day mosque is rebuilt many times because of destruction due to fire.
